Following 10 months as an "Ordeal" member, an Arrowman may participate in
the "Brotherhood" ceremony, which signifies the sealing of his membership
and an additional emphasis on OA ideals and purposes.

1. Memorize:
The Obligation (found on the back of you membership card).
The OA Song.
The Admonition.
The sign of Ordeal membership.
The Arrow Handclasp.

2. Provide a letter, addressed to the Lodge Secretary, that explains what the obligation means to you, and your specific plans of service. Some ideas of service in the past have been being an Elangomat, or becoming the Service Chairman and promoting Service in OA.

2. Gain an understanding of the Ordeal, through which you have already passed. Read the Purpose of the Order, and the Mission of the Lodge.

3. Serve your unit. Remain active within the scouting program of your unit for at least a period of ten months. Strive to fulfill the Obligation by continuing and expanding your service in your unit and community.

4. Plan for service: Keep your dues current within the lodge and participate in OA functions. Show to your unit and lodge your cheerful service in not just your work, but daily life.
