Service Projects

Service Projects As always our lodge will be performing a unique service project to council camps this year. Th current project has already begun and is taking the form of completely redoing all of the Baldwin fire bowl benches. This project will take place in two phases over the course of 2012 and 2013. The first phase will be spread out over several Satur-day workdays at David Heesacker and John Durbetaki’s houses. At these workdays, which are open to all Lodge members and include a delectable free lunch, arrowmen will work on constructing frames to pour concrete in and other preparato-ry activities. The first phase will continue at the Baldwin Or-deal 2012, where volunteers will begin to set up the project in earnest. The year’s work will culminate in a week long project on August 18-25, akin to ArrowCorps 2011, where roughly 40 participants will remove the existing campfire bowl and lay the concrete founda-tion for a new and improved one. The second phase will happen in 2013, and will end at the Bald-win Ordeal 2013 where arrowmen will install the actual benches. This is one of the largest Service projects that our lodge has put on an we need your active participation in it to have a complete success.
